Color and Trend

There are lot of colors and trends that I see in the future of interior design for spring 2019.

One that stands out to me is pastel shade of green, coined neo mint. This color is a gender-neutral color with "an oxygenating, fresh tone that aligns science and technology with nature". I think it's really trendy but I like it, I don't really see myself using it on furniture but instead on accent pieces or accent chairs. I like it because it reminds me of mint and nature it also looks very soft, I also like the fact that it feels like a charming and calming color.

I also think that pink will be a big color in spring 2019. I think it's because people want calming colors especially in this time right now with all the political aspects of life, I feel calming colors will make a big influence in 2019. Millennial pink is here to stay. Soft pink is a favorite of mine. Subtle, delicate and gender neutral–it works beautifully on a on a wall where you want to add a little color, but not be overwhelming. Pinks can often come across as too sweet or youthful but with the right designer you can a sleek look to it, which works for me since most of my designs are black, white, and gray.

Futuristic hues are also on trend for 2019 because it signifies a new decade are also on trend to make a huge impact. Silver or metallic gray is a color tone resembling gray that is a representation of the color of polished silver. The visual sensation usually associated with the metal silver is its metallic shine. I really love these colors because they are vibrant and so eye catching. I really think that colors like striking blues and vibrant silvers will come in strong. They would give any room lots of visual interest.

I also think colors like orange are coming back in style for 2019. I think this is because it's so bold and interesting. Orange usually represents autumn if it has brown in it. Most people either love it or hate it, but if it is lighter in color it can be really cool and fun. It really pairs well of course with blue or brown. It honestly reminds me of sherbet ice cream. I really think soft orange will be a big part of 2019, when colors are soft they don't feel overwhelming but still has a big influence.
