Marsh Kitchen and Bath

As an interior design student, we spend a lot of long hours starring at a computer screen. Sometimes it is important to speak to some of the veterans of design. They offer a lot of valuable information and resources. They also give us a glimpse into the many career options we can pursue after we graduate. Fortunately, we had the opportunity to take a field trip to Marsh Kitchen and Bath Showroom. Where we were able to get a tour of the showrooms by some of the designers. Carol, one of the head designers, showed us behind the scene.

It was eye opening to see how much work goes into creating someone's dream kitchen. Marsh Kitchen & Bath are no rookies they have been doing kitchen and bath design since 1906. From the many steps of touring the showroom. To understanding what their style is, to designing the kitchen. Then sales and working with someone's budget and measurements and installation to the final product.

There were many different styles of cabinets such as the most popular called the Shaker, Jamestown, Savannah, Apex, Cambridge, Atlanta, and Jefferson just to name a few. I am very thankful for the opportunity because this will help me create my very own kitchen design that we are working on in my Auto CAD class. Personally I want my design to be Transitional, I want it to represent elegance and glamour. I have a lot of ideas that will be represented in my design thanks to Marsh Kitchen and Bath Showroom.
